About

Jesus is a mighty Prophet of God, he was the final messenger from the lineage of the Children of Israel. His message was consistent with the message of all the Prophets that came before him. He called people to the worship of one God, he warned people of the Hellfire and gave them the glad tidings of Paradise. Both Muslims and Christians claim Jesus for themselves, the Christians claiming he is God or son of God while Muslims believe he is a Prophet of God.  

It is the faith of every Muslim that Jesus was not sent by Allah to establish a new religion but to renew the religion brought by the Prophet Mosa. He preached the mosaic teachings, acted upon on them and ordered the people to do the same. Jesus Christ himself unveils this reality in a clear cut way. 

“Do not think that I came to destroy the law or the Prophets, I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one twilt will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” 1  

The true followers of Jesus are those who follow him in all of his teachings without any distortions or false interpretations. Jesus very clearly worshipped one God, very clearly preached a law and very clearly spoke about a Prophet to come.

Instructor

Junaid Dar is Head of Qur’anic Studies at Islamic Courses Online. He obtained a Masters in Civil Engineering from University College London (UCL) in 2007. After working as an engineer he went on to achieve his LLB in Islamic Law from the University of Al-Azhar in Cairo. Junaid has worked on numerous TV Stations around the globe including Huda TV, Islam Channel and Iqra TV International.
